33. Continued. The heavens and all that is were made because God spoke. God's plans stand firm forever, but not those of men. God watches and sees everything people do. God loves those whose hope is in his unfailing love. We trust His holy name.
34. A psalm of praise and trust. David made a commitment to lavishly praise God at all times. David sought the Lord who delivered him from all his fears. The angel of the Lord lives near those who fear God. David advised that we "taste and see that the Lord is good." Those who seek God will have all their needs met. David's advice to those who wanted to live a long life was to speak truth, do good and seek peace and go after it.
35. A plea for judgment. David asked God to fight against those who went up against David. He asked that his enemies be disgraced and shamed, their plans to ruin David foiled, and that they be driven away by the angel of the Lord. David praised God for rescuing the poor from those who would kick them when they are down. To those who had been troubled, David showed compassion, but when he needed their support they betrayed him. David asked God to prevent his enemies from gloating over any misfortune of David's and bearing false witness against him.
Tomorrow read Psalms 35:22-37:26
