Today I went to Santa Cruz. We walked on the beach at sunset. Beautiful!
69. Continued. God knew David's sins and David knew that. He wanted to be a good example. Sometimes his family did things that didn't make any sense and he felt embarrassed. David felt great passion for God and took insults personally. People didn't understand the ways he worshiped God. David asked God to help and protect him. David felt threatened and needed God to save him. David knew God understood his hardships and he asked for mercy. David asked God to punish his unmerciful enemies. The rest of this chapter is a biblical rant, clearly David is very unhappy about the way he's been treated. So, if you're ever really angry, talk to God - he can take it. David chose to offer God a song rather than a burnt offering. All of creation will praise God.
70. God is Wonderful. David asked God for help. David asked God to let the righteous people see his power. David knew God would help him and he asked him to hurry.
71. Prayer for God's Protection. David asked God for His protection. David knew God was his rock and would always protect him, he just asked Him again to make double sure. David asked God to deal harshly with his enemies. David vowed to praise God always.
