Jesus became angry when the disciples scolded people for wanting to bring their little children to Jesus for His blessing. Jesus blessed the children. Then a man came up to Jesus and knelt before Him. He asked what more he needed to do to receive eternal life. Jesus told him to obey the commandments and go and sell all he had and give the money to the poor, then follow Him. The man went away very sad because he was very rich. Jesus explained that whatever you give away for Him, will be returned to you a hundred times. Again Jesus told the disciples of His death and that three days later He would rise to life. Then James and John wanted to sit beside Jesus in heaven, but only God can choose this. If you want to be great, serve others. Leaving Jericho, Jesus restored the sight of a man named Bartimaeus.
Before they entered Jerusalem, Jesus sent two disciples to fetch a colt for Him. He told them where it was and what to say to the people who asked them about it. So they did. They brought it to Him and put their coats on it for Him to sit on. Other people put their coats in the road as well as branches, in front of the colt Jesus was riding. They shouted praises to Him as He entered Jerusalem. Then Jesus spent the night in Bethany. On the way back to Jerusalem, he cursed the fig tree. Then Jesus went to the temple and threw out all the merchants. The chief priests and teachers began looking for a way to kill Jesus; He was getting too powerful. The next morning the disciples and Jesus walked by the fig tree which was withered. The disciples asked Jesus about it. He told them to have faith in God and do not doubt in your heart and believe what will happen, then it will. Also, forgive anyone anything you may have against them. In Jerusalem again, Jesus walked into the temple and was questioned by the chief priests and teachers about the source of His authority. He asked them a question they couldn't answer and so He didn't answer their question.
Jesus told them about the tenants in the vineyard who killed every representative their landlord sent to them. They even killed the landlord's son. The Jewish leaders knew Jesus was talking about them and they wanted to arrest Him, but they were too afraid of the crowd.
